What is your Masters Champions BBQ dinner?

Every year, before the Masters, the previous year’s winner will host an exclusive dinner for past winners. The menu is inspired by the current champion and reflects their interests. For instance, here is what Rory McIlroy picked for his 2026 Masters Champions Dinner.

Appetizers: Peach and ricotta flatbread | Rock shrimp tempura | Bacon-wrapped dates | Grilled elk sliders

First course: Yellowfin tuna carpaccio

Main course: Choice of wagyu filet minon or seared salmon: Traditional Irish champ, sauteed brussels sprouts, glazed carrots with brown butter, crispy Vidalia onion rings.

Dessert: Sticky toffee pudding

Beverages: 2025 Salon Brut Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, 2022 Domaine Leflaive Puligny-Montrachet, and a 1990 Château Lafite Rothschild.

This got me thinking, what would the menu be if I hosted the Masters Championship Dinner? If you’ve seen me golf, you’ll know what a trainwreck that is, but since I once played in a Wesleyville Little League title game, I’m qualified. This is my Masters Championship BBQ Dinner menu from Western PA Pitmasters. All of these locations can be found on our Western PA BBQ Map.

Appetizers: Tater Hogs from Kettle Dad BBQ (Blairsville) | Pork Belly Tacos from Walters (Lawrenceville)

Sides: Fried Brussel Sprouts from Off the Rails BBQ (Verona), my wife's macaroni salad. Still not sold on the best baked beans.

First course: Rib medley from Off the Rails BBQ (Verona) and Showcase BBQ (Homewood) | Jalapeno pierogi from Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church (Carnegie)

Main course: Choice of beef rib from Federal Hill Smokehouse (Erie), Brisket from Big Rigs(Monroeville), and Fried Fish from any Pittsburgh area Catholic church.

Dessert: Banana Pudding from Bowser’s (Monaca), Romolo’s Dark Chocolate Sponge Candy (Erie), and the Oakmonter (Oakmont)

Beverages: Turner’s Iced Tea

After dinner OMG I’M STUFFED AND NEED TO SIT BY A FIRE: Rocky Patel ALR Second Edition cigar and glass of Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon Whiskey. Don’t hate on me for not going local spirits. That’s a whole new adventure I need to get on.

Places I need to visit that would make the list based on Instagram alone are Russell's BBQ (Linesville) and Tastefully Blessed Smokehouse (Springdale).
