Happy Post-4th Weekend!I hope everyone had a safe, relaxing and happy holiday! Besides trying to stay cool and dodging the rain I somehow managed not to cook for the holiday. As much as I did want to sit around the smoker all day I'll never complain when someone offers to host me and have homemade kielbasa on the grill.BBQ TEAMS NEEDED!Are you a seasoned vet or backyard hero? The 4th annual Grill Your Ace Off is looking for pro and backyard barbecue teams to compete the last weekend of August! This was one of the first events Teaspoon and I attended last summer and we had a blast (check out the vid here). Spent Father's Day at the Franklin Blues & Barbecue Festival. Absolutely beautiful day to listen to sweet music and eat good BBQ. 100% FREE fest also which they told me is the only free fest outside of Chicago! This year's event is a Kansas City Barbeque Society Sanctioned event, as well as a State Championship event! Because this event is a Sanctioned KCBS State Championship we will have several Professional BBQ Competitors, as well as Backyard Grillers.We have added Friday night to our musical lineup, showcasing local entertainers. Once again Saturday's entertainers are some of the most popular from the Pittsburgh area Jazz & Blues scene.We will also have more activities for the kids, including a few surprises!
