2nd Annual Pig Out in the Park Backyard BBQ Competition & Festival

(Frostburg, MD) The 2nd Annual Pig Out in the Park: Backyard BBQ Bash will be held on Saturday, August 17, 2019 from 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hoffman Hollow Park, located at 11200 Hoffman Hollow Road in Frostburg, MD. Join us for a fun-filled day of live music, a beer tent, a pie-eating contest, kid zone and family-friendly activities, local artist and food vendors, and a backyard BBQ competition!Pig Out in the Park, a Kansas City Barbecue Society-sanctioned backyard barbecue competition, offers local and non-local BBQ competition teams the chance to go down in Backyard BBQ history! Last year, winners received over $1,500 in cash prizes! This year’s event will include a people's-choice competition category to let the crowd decide whose BBQ reigns supreme!In addition to the heat of the competition, Pig Out in the Park will feature mechanical bull riding, a chainsaw carving demonstration, and food and artisan vendors from the Frostburg area. Bands will be playing live music all day, including Savage Road and Day-Old News.All proceeds from Pig Out in the Park benefit the non-profit organization FrostburgFirst: a Maryland Main Street Community, Inc., and efforts towards downtown revitalization, promoting small business, engaging the community, and making Frostburg a beautiful and thriving city to live, work, and visit.Pig Out in the Park is currently accepting applications for vendors and competitors through July 19th. Tickets are available for online pre-sale at $8 for general admission or $12 with a barbecue tasting kit.
