Where do I find BBQ in Pittsburgh?
Yinz Love BBQ covers all things bbq, steak, and live-fire cooking in Western Pennsylvania. We are a Steak Cookoff Association sanctioned team and I am a certified judge. While reporting on the local craft beer scene since 2006 the biggest non-beer question I’d get is where to eat and barbecue was always the answer.
This site began as a directory of all bbq joints in Pittsburgh because I kept losing track and went from 5 on day one to 30 listings after the first year. As of today, there are currently 72 barbecue-focused restaurants and food trucks in the Greater Pittsburgh area plus 30 more in all of Western PA. Quick math, that’s 102. YaJagoff math – that’s a lot of pierogies. Yes, we smoke those too.
OK, I guess that wasn’t really short but it is if you ever listen to me talk about it.
Now that things are opening up we hope to get back on the road to eat our way around PA and visit all of the new businesses and attend events. Every year I compile a list of all BBQ and Steak Cookoff Association events within a 3-hour driving radius of Pittsburgh and also offer a Google Calendar you can subscribe to so you’re up to date on the latest events.
