No this isn’t like the former week-long celebration of craft beer in the area but it is the unofficial kickoff to BBQ season in Pittsburgh. We have a lot of joints that are open all year but it’s when the seasonal teams light their pits that you know Spring is here.
In celebration of kickoff week here are the places that will re-open for 2019 and with a full tank of gas and a lead foot, I hope to hit each on their opening day. Maybe I’ll bring some friends along for the ride. Well, those who don’t work during the day at or are like me and see this worthy of a vacation day.
