Wait, that sounds like I’m presenting. Sooooo not the case but I may track down BBQ people to chat with for the site. I’m going as a fan this year to check out the popular TMBBQ Fest in Austin this November. This is the first major BBQ event for me and have my fingers crossed for NBBQA in KC this April.
While in Austin I plan on waiting in the Franklin line one day and hit Snow’s and a few others so I can come back to PA with meat sweats for weeks. Can I write this off as an expense for research? I better find a tax professional! If you’re heading down for this event let me know and the first Lone Star is on me!

September 15th: Hopewell Barbecue Cook-Off & Blues Fest
Hopewell Township Community Park, 2500 Laird Drive, Aliquippa, PA 15001 Website Noon – 8 PM
A premier event at Hopewell Community Park with a day of food, blues and a great time with friends! Amateur grillers prepare their favorite chili, chicken and/or ribs. Big cash prizes awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category.
Public judging cards (limited to 100) will be sold for $5. Commercial vendors will provide your favorite summertime foods. Cold beverages available and live bands performing the best of the blues.
