You would think the Super Bowl was happening in Pittsburgh this weekend with the media hype and OMFG THE TRAFFIC warnings on TV but rest assure everything will be fine as long as you’re not a jagoff. That pic is from 2015 when I saw Garth Brooks play the second of 5 shows in 3 days at Consol Energy Center. Yes, it was amazing!
Don’t go hangry to see Garth Brooks
So what does this have to do about BBQ you ask? Those cherished parking spaces around Heinz Field will be packed with tailgaters with grills and beverages. If you don’t want to deal with the chaos hit up one of our local BBQ joints in and around the city. The Pittsburgh BBQ Directory will help you plan your route and also search what is close to where you’re staying!
If you’re visiting the area or new to Pittsburgh BBQ I also wrote a quick overview for National BBQ Month talking about of all things BBQ around Pittsburgh.
Happy 15th Birthday to Rowdy BBQ
Pittsburgh’s original angry clucker opened as Brentwood Express on May 18th, 2004 and quickly became Rowdy BBQ. Since then Steve Kingsland has kept your hangry in check with tender ribs and brisket along with killer fries. Check them out at 3900 Saw Mill Run Blvd. and follow on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.
Happy birthday yinz!
